JAKARTA, INDONESIA, 14 March, 2015 - One of Indonesia's leading financial institutions, BTN Bank, has selected Infinitium's Integrated Mobile Secured (IMS) solution to ensure a safer e-commerce environment for its customers.

The authentication platform which is fully compliant with Visa’s 3D Secure was acquired to support the Bank's latest services, Debit BTN Online. With the upward trend in e-commerce especially through the use of mobile devices, there is an exigency for a dynamic yet secure payment platform for its customers.

With the installation of Infinitium's IMS platform, the bank is confident of providing a secure online shopping experience for its customers.

Ho Ching Wee, founder and chief executive officer of Infinitium Group of Companies, said
Infinitium's IMS solution will enhance the verification and authentication process, providing an added layer of security for cardholders as well as helping the bank curb card fraud losses.

The IMS solution is designed as an extension of the 3D Secure Framework to enhance the
verification and authentication process with mobile extensions. The solution supports stronger security control with several security features including the use of dynamic password, one-time password and mobile signature.

"The bank can now eliminate the use of static password for its customers with the two factor Out-of-Band authentication which uses two separate networks to authenticate users. A transaction cannot be completed without access to the second authentication network.

"With the robust security in place, BTN can easily combat the threat of phishing, Trojans, Man-in-the-Middle and keystroke logging attacks. Cardholders can be assured of a safer online experience.”

Moreover, he said, the IMS is not just an authentication platform but also an intelligent business operation solution that can monitor administration processes, as well as track and analyse data to support business development.

It also has the capability, said Ho, to extend the 3D framework to include various payment
channels such as Mail Order Telephone Order (MOTO) transactions to support future business needs.

He further highlighted that the Infinitium IMS provides a “ready to go” hosted solution model, whereby all the hardware, software and database are ready to be deployed with minimal time to market.

"We have a proven track record in successfully implementing e-payment initiatives in many banks in Indonesia and across South East Asia. We are confident our solution will help BTN improve security for Card Not Presented (CNP) transactions, avoid CNP fraud and decrease chargeback transactions.

"This will help build the bank's cardholders' confidence to make online purchases."

Infinitium's IMS is currently used in 15 banks across Indonesia and more than 40 banks in South East Asia.
